Term Dates 2024-2025

Term dates for Staffordshire

Term Dates for 2024-25 have been set for Staffordshire Local Authority schools. Whilst Academies are free to set their own term dates, at Cheslyn Hay we follow the main term dates set by Staffordshire. Schools, in addition, are able to arrange their own INSET (In Service Training) days. Usually Cheslyn Hay Academy sets 6 INSET days each academic year, however we have not confirmed the dates for these at this point. As soon as dates are finally confirmed at Cheslyn Hay Academy we will inform all parents.

Autumn Term 2024

Term Start Monday 2 September 
Half Term Holiday: Monday 28 October – Friday 1 November
Term ends: Friday 20 December
Holiday: Monday 23 December – Friday 3 January

Cheslyn Hay usually agrees a minimum of 3 INSET days during the Autumn Term - one on the first day (Monday 2nd September); one on the last Friday in September (27 September); and one in December. These days have not yet been confirmed and are subject to change.

Spring Term 2025

Term starts: Monday 6 January
Half Term Holiday: Monday 17 February – Friday 21 February
Term ends: Friday 11 April
Holiday: Monday 14 April – Friday 25 April

Summer Term 2025

Term starts: Monday 28 April
May Day: Monday 5 May
Half Term Holiday: Monday 26 May – Friday 30 May
Term ends: Monday 21 July
Holiday: Tuesday 22 July – Friday 29 August

Cheslyn Hay usually agrees a minimum of 1 INSET days during the Summer Term. This is usually scheduled towards the end of June. This INSET day has not yet been confirmed and is subject to change.

In addition 2 further INSET days are usually set through the year based on identified school priorities and training programmes. These will be shared with parents and published on this website once confirmed.
