A thriving secondary school with a family feel that develops students' academic and personal potential.
Learn moreWelcome to Cheslyn Hay Academy.
We are an 11 to 18 comprehensive school of approximately 1300 students including 190 in the Sixth Form. Our large catchment area includes the villages of Cheslyn Hay, Essington and Featherstone and we have a long tradition of taking students from further afield.
The school has acquired a strong reputation for enabling the young people in our care to flourish. For a number of years the school has been oversubscribed and annually our examination results are above the national average.
We believe that high expectations lead to high levels of achievement. Therefore, we set high standards for our staff and students.
James Dorricott has got to the interview stage for a place studying medicine at Oxford University. Getting an interview at Oxford is tough, let alone for a hugely competitive subject like medicine. We are so proud of you! #CHAcademy @WinAcadTrust https://t.co/8UfRoUsOPy

Students have raised over £1000 for Children In Need, plus a huge recycling donation towards future ECO projects within school.
